  • Describe what you see. I am looking at a city sidewalk. People are crowded walking around. I see a lot of black people.
  • What do you notice first? I notice a kind of run-down building. It looks like it's falling apart, and there are a lot of people crowded around it.
  • What is the physical setting? It is located outside. It looks some-what sunny, warm enough for people to be walking around.

  • Why do you think this image was made? To show how people spent their days during The Great Depression
  • What’s happening in the image? There are a lot of black people shopping maybe, or just taking a walk in town.
  • If someone made this today, what would be different? There would be more roads, more cars, people dressed in fancier attire, the building would be made with more work and money.

  • What people and objects are shown? You see a slave working with a hoe in a field planting harvests.
  • How are they arranged? There is only one person and you can only see their legs. you also see a lot of dirt and i hole in the ground with a flower in it.
  • What is the physical setting? Outside on a field

  • Why do you think this image was made? I think this image was made to reflect how slaves were used in The Great Depression.
  • What’s happening in the image? There is a slave planting flowers bare footed in a field.
  • When do you think it was made? Harvesting season
  • What’s missing from this image? The rest of the slave's body
  • If someone made this today, what would be different? The slave would be buying it's flowers/vegtables/harvests in a store and not growing them him/herself

  • How are they arranged? There's a bed on the left, a closet right behind him, a table to the left

  4. If someone made this today, what would be different? The buildings on the side of the street would be more evolved, and there would be more people shopping not standing around.
